About the event

Our macramé basic wall hanging workshop is for anyone who is interested in learning the craft, who is a beginner or would like a refresher course. This workshop is open to adults only - if you are under 16, and would like to learn the craft, please drop us an email.

For this online zoom workshop, you will receive 3 hours of zoom time and a kit that will be delivered to you latest 3-5 days before the workshop. *The earlier the sign up, the earlier I can dispatch the Kit.*

Registration will close 1 week before the zoom date to facilitate time to prepare kit and for delivery. 

Please read all details of the zoom workshop to understand what is invovled!

What you can expect to learn during the workshop:

- introduction to the materials required 

- basic knowledge about the different type of ropes available ( some samples will be included in the kit)

- 5 basic macramè knots 

- make a wall hanging

What will be in the Kit you will receive:

- 30cm wooden dowel

- 100m 4mm single twist rope (in beige)

- 2 'S' hooks

- measuring tape

- a couple of samples of ropes

- instruction booklet

What you will need to do to prepare for the zoom workshop:

- Cut ropes before the workshop session

   All instructions will be on the workshop instruction booklet. (For this you will require a pair of scissors that is 

   unprovided for in the kit.)

- Set up your zoom macrame work area

   Preferably somewhere that you can hook both the 'S' hooks to and hang your wooden dowel on to work . A    

   cloth rack is highly recommended. Other alternatives can be a drying clothes rack, back of an unmoving chair, or 

   window grills. 

For the purposes of better online learning quality, it would be recommended that your camera can see your work so that the instructor can check your work and help instruct if you require assistamce with creating the knots. You may log in to 2 devices, one for you, and one for your work if need be.

For any cancellation of attendance for the workshop, let us know 5 days prior to the workshop date and you can receive a 50% refund. Notify us at Depending on your circumstances, and for special cases where you are down with covid, you may join another future workshop slot.
