Online Macrame Basic Wall Hanging Workshop

Our macramè basic workshop is for anyone who is interested in learning the craft, who is a beginner or would like a refresher course. This workshop is open to adults only - if you are under 16, and would like to learn the craft, please drop us an email.

What you will expect to learn:

- introduction to the materials required 

- basic knowledge about the different type of ropes available

- 4 basic macramè knots 

- make a wall hanging

A package containing 100m ropes and a 30cm wooden dowel will be delivered to your home 5-7days before the workshop. A tutorial worksheet will also be sent to your email prior to the workshop.

Registration for the workshop will close on 26th August.

In preparation for the workshop, you will need to cut ropes (which will be stated in detail in the confirmation email), and prepare your workspace for the zoom workshop before we start the session! You will need to hang your wooden dowel up to knot on. Knotting requires a certain amount of tension, hence, hanging the wooden dowel on a pair of 'S' hook against a cloth rack/ chair/ grills would be ideal! 

The workshop will be held on Zoom. If you have not downloaded it on your phone or laptop, do head to https://zoom.us to do so. It would also be helpful to set your video screen up in a way that captures your work so that I can check and make sure you're doing it right! I don't want to short change my participants in the learning process as much as possible.
